I'm nearing the end of "Is Life Like This?" and thoroughly enjoying it. No quick fix, no easy does it trickery, no magic and no false promises, just good preparation for writing, writing, writing. And I've already started my (first? next?) novel. Very clear guidance, with so many great lessons, but that sounds dull--I should also say how humorous and full of anecdotes and great quotations (love the sidebars) that this is just what a writer needs to start the long slog of writing a novel.

From her facial expression it appears she has read most of the book.
